Itinerary
Welcome to Kenya!
Depending on your arrival from the previous evening or this morning, we begin our tour by road to Hells Gate National Park and the beautiful Lake Naivasha. Be amazed by the scenery while driving to the Northern part of Kenya.
For those that are The Lion Kings fans, Hells Gate National Park was used as the model for the movie. We enter Hells Gate National Park, a volcanic thermal area with scenic views of the Hells Gate Gorge, surrounded by red cliffs.
Lake Naivasha hosts an estimated 1500 hippos! It is also a birder’s paradise as you will find more than 400 species for you to view. Late afternoon we board a cruise on the lake to get up and close with hippos, crocodiles, flamingos and more.
After cruising through this wonder of a lake we will check in to our accommodation where a gourmet dinner will be served with time to recharge and rest easy to get ready for the excitement ahead tomorrow when we head off to explore the wonders awaiting you in Kenya!
After breakfast we will head off on a magical drive through the famous lakes route, taking us to Lake Elmenteita, a protected area due to its bird life as well as a UNESCO heritage site.
Take in the sight of thousands of pink flamingos that carpet the lake. Next, we head off to Lake Nakuru safari where once again you will be blown away by the abundance of the flamingo population.
Keep your eyes open for the rare eastern black rhino and southern white rhino, including the incredible diversity of other animals, bird species and vegetation.
After our safari drive, we settle in our airconditioned vehicle as we get ready to enter the world-renowned Masai Mara National Park.
We head to our accommodation, have dinner and get settled in for a good night’s rest.
The Masai Mara boasts one of the planet's highest concentrations of resident wildlife. From antelopes, gazelles, and zebras to the famed "pumba" (warthog), cheetahs, leopards, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and graceful giraffes – each day promises an exhilarating search for these extraordinary creatures.
Each morning, we rise early to a breakfast feast. Grab your binoculars and coffee and settle in the open jeep safari vehicle as we head out in search of wildlife. The Masai Mara waits for no one, and every drive in this wonderland has the potential to deliver the unexpected view of a once in a lifetime sight.
With a park ranger guiding you throughout the day, you will learn about the Masai Mara and its habitant wildlife. Learn characteristics of animals and how to anticipate a kill. You will tick off the big 5 and be shown how to track lions using only their prints in the sand.
Afterwards, you will come back to your accommodation to a gourmet dinner while sipping on wine and reminiscing about the day’s activities.
Today after breakfast we have the opportunity to visit a traditional Masai African village. We explore their daily lifestyle and learn about their co-existence between them, their livestock and the wildlife in the Mara ecosystem. Remember the Mara is unfenced! You will be welcomed as a guest and bid farewell as a friend.
Afterwards we head back to our resort for lunch and start to wind down as we get ready for Shabbos.
Take a seat in our pop-up shul as we enjoy a wonderful Shabbos experience with a minyan. A beautiful Kabbalat Shabbos will be remembered for life. Shabbos dinner with fine wines, gourmet food, Zmiras and Divrei Torah will be experienced.
Shabbos morning after davening we have a brocha, followed by lunch and a relaxing afternoon with some who want to go on a light bush walk around the resort.
Under the Havdalah candle with new friendships made, we bid farewell to Shabbos and get ready to settle in for the evening as we continue our adventures the next morning.
With breakfast complete, we jump on to the open safari jeep for another two days of possibilities.
Timing may be on your side as the famous migration season starts to come alive. Witness thousands of wildebeest cross the savannah plains while being hunted by lion, leopard and cheetah.
Do not forget, this is no zoo and animal sightings are not guaranteed. Keep your eyes peeled.
We end the days off with dinner and settle into our accommodation for a good night’s rest.
This morning, depending on what the group is wanting to do, we have some options to choose from.
Charter a plane to Nairobi (costings will be provided for this) and you can spend more time in Masai Mara, you can choose between an unforgettable hot air balloon safari, a final morning safari by jeep (both at extra cost) or sleeping in a little and relaxing at our camp.
Or we head back to Nairobi via the Rift Valley in time to catch your international flight home.
Thank you for embarking on this tour with us; may your memories be as lasting as the beauty we've witnessed together.
Safe travels back home!
